Why positive dog training, and what is it?
Positive training is teaching a dog what to do using positive reinforcement. It:
- takes into account how dogs learn best
- is more effective, safe, and humane than other methods
- intrinsically motivates dogs to work (because they enjoy it!)
- establishes mutual trust, strengthening your bond
- encourages dogs to use their amazing brains to problem solve
- does not cause pain or fear
- works for all dogs, all ages, all behaviour problems. Not just great for puppies or friendly dogs.
